Pressure Test Inspector Qualification

Requires examiner to carry out an inspection to a defined standard under working conditions in Plant inspection. Examiner must demonstrate their knowledge, experienced and skill to pressure testing.

Schedule

08.30 – 09.00       Vision test
09.00 – 12.00       Theory test
13.30 – 17.00       Interview

Remark: Exam papers, answer sheets are not allowed to be taken out of the test venue. Must be inspected by an examiner before leaving the test venue.

Qualification certificate

  • Visual testing level II certificate or certified by company.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Experience record (retrospect 1 years)

Candidate qualification

  • Certified visual testing level II or certified by company.
  • Experience related with petroleum and petrochemical plant > 1 years.
  • Normal vision (no color blind).
  • Age not over 55 year old.

Revision requirement

1. Can take the exam for only the part that is not passed 1 time. If you do not pass the exam again, you must take the exam all over again.
2. Retests must be at least 45 days apart from the first exam. In the case of additional training, evidence can be presented and retest.
3. The examination result will remain valid for a period of 1 year, commencing from the date of the result announcement


Renewal requirement (The license is valid for 2 years)

1. Renewing a license without taking an exam.

    1.1 If working within 6 months before the license expires, by attaching evidence of Inspection Report.

2. Renewal of licenses that require retesting.
    2.1 The license expires within 1 years, interviews are required.
    2.2 The license has expired more than 1 years, must take an interview and practice exam.
